Replenix Pure Hydration Hyaluronic Acid Serum Review

I’ve used Replenix Pure Hydration Hyaluronic Acid Serum quite regularly over the past couple of years. It is the hyaluronic acid serum that I keep going back to after trying something else. So I thought I should finally write a review.

Mia’s review: In my last post, I wrote about wanting a low molecular weight (LMW) hyaluronic acid to replace a prescription product from my dermatologist. Well, I’m not sure this is it. It is not marketed as having LMW hyaluronic acid and Replenix has not answered the emails I’ve sent or replied to my tweet. I think this means it isn’t LMW, although it is marketed as fractionated and having a smaller molecule size. Which I think kinda implies LMW but I’m not a chemist so that might mean it has medium and high molecular weight hyaluronic acid. I don’t know.

For this reason, I started looking at other brands. In the past, I loved Hada Labo but I haven’t been able to find it lately. But if you don’t care about molecular weight and are just looking for something to hydrate your skin, I think this is a good, albeit expensive, choice. The positives:

  • It has cause me zero break outs
  • It hasn’t pilled under any of the moisturizers or sunscreens I’ve used with it
  • I like that the texture is thick but not too thick or sticky
  • The ingredients list looks great to me. It includes two types of hyaluronic acid plus copper PCA & zinc PCA, white tea extract, and a peptide.
  • My skin feels more hydrated using it
  • I love the clear packaging. You can see if you need to buy more soon or not.

After re-reviewing the ingredients, Replenix Pure Hydration is expensive if you think of it as a uni-tasking product (i.e.,a hyaluronic acid serum), but I can see it is much more. My problem, besides needing a LMW hyaluronic acid, is that I already use a copper serum with peptides that I love (and don’t want to stop using) so I don’t really need it to be in this serum. But if you are looking for a hyaluronic acid serum that also has some other great ingredients, this might be the serum for you.

*THE INGREDIENTS LIST MAY OR MAY NOT BE ACCURATE DEPENDING ON THE SOURCE OF THE LIST AND MANUFACTURER UPDATES/CHANGES.
